Privacy policy

PeopleCite researches publicly available information about people you ask it to find, then stores a structured slate so you can review and export it. This page names the lawful basis and retention rules we use when that research includes EU persons.

Lawful basis

We process personal data of search subjects under legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): compiling research leads from public sources at a customer's request. We consider Art. 14 transparency duties for data not collected from the data subject. Output is research leads, not automated hiring decisions.

What we store

Account email, billing identifiers, research chats, candidate slates (name, public profile links, location evidence, optional demographic notes if you opt in), usage and credit ledger. Ranking never uses age or gender.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account from Settings. Deletion removes your auth user and cascades chats, candidates, keys, and entitlements. Billing records Stripe requires us to keep are retained by Stripe.

Processors

Supabase (auth and database), Stripe (payments), model and search providers used by the research service (OpenAI, Anthropic, Tavily, Exa, and optional xAI / DeepSeek). Ultra Max / Enterprise customers can request a DPA.
